Tigers U18 Women off to a Winning Start

The 1st game is the season saw the Tigers U18 Women take on Queens. The game got off to a slow start with both teams creating and missing plenty of chances and with 4:44 left, Queens were ahead 3-2. Things picked up towards the end of the period with both team starting to take their chances, despite Tigers being on team fouls with 2min left, Tigers held a 14-11 at the end of the 1st. Into the second period, the teams traded scores and were still missing plenty in the season opener, Tigers just ahead 24-18. Into the 3rd and the Tigers got off to a fast start, with 5 unanswered baskets to lead 34-18 with 6.56 left. Queens responded during the remainder of the period, however Tigers held a 16 point lead going into the 4th, 44-28 ahead. Into the 4th and Queens responded in magnificent fashion with a run of unanswered baskets to trail 47-36 with 6:46 left. Queens continued to push and got the score back to within 4, 48-44 with 4:31 left with the Tigers struggling to get any offense moving. However the game went into a phase of no scores with the Tigers regrouping their defensive game and with 1:13 left Tigers held a narrow 49-45. Tigers were able to hold on to take the win 49-45, great job from Scottie and the girls
