If ever there was a game of fine margins it was the thrilling final few seconds of this game.

In the 1st period, the game started slowly with Tigers ahead, but Phoenix scored on the buzzer with Tigers ahead 13-11. Into the second, Tigers started to clock up team fouls, but we witnessed a lovely piece of opportunistic play by Odhran who from the base line played the ball off the back of the Phoenix player and then scores – very clever. The Tigers took the game by the scruff of the neck and opened up a 10 point gap 36-26. Into the 3rd period, Tigers were racking up the personal fouls with Odhran and Michael both on 4 and were withdrawn from the 3rd period leaving Phoenix to drive home the advantage with free throws and pulling themselves back into the game with Tigers leading 45-43 at the end of the 3rd.
And so into the thrilling 4th, the earlier part of the period saw a number of missed chances as nerves started to kick in, TO called with 2 minutes left, scores tied 50-50, Tigers brought Odhran and Michael back into the game leading to an 11 point unanswered streak. With 43.3 seconds left, Tigers were up 66-52. With 16.4 seconds left, Tigers led by 15, Phoenix took position of the ball. Odhran then fouled out with 5.8 seconds left, giving Phoenix the opportunity to shoot for 2. With one huge play left, the Tigers took the ball to the basket but missed two layups, buzzer goes and Tigers win the game by 13, but Phoenix take 2nd place in the league
