Tigers U18 Women take win over Queens

Tigers U18 Women took to the court against Queen. With both teams playing off a bench of 7 players, it would be fair to say it was a slow start with regards to scoring with both teams using zonal marking and restricting scoring opportunities to longer range efforts – which was largely off target, however Queens ended the period 8-5 ahead. Into the 2nd period, and it was more of the same, with defence on top and offence struggling to score from distance and it wasnt until 2:49 left in the period that Queens finally scored to lead 10-5. Queens scored a further 2 points to lead 12-5 which seemed to shake the Tigers into a response, going on a 13 point unanswered streak to lead 18-12 at the end of the 2nd period. With the Tigers finally getting their offence into gear, they started to press Queens and extended their lead to 29-16 at the end of the 3rd period. Into the 4th and Tigers started to share a number of 3 point efforts allowing them to run out 47-21 winners. So after a slow start to the game by both teams, the Tigers finally clicked into their stride to take the win.
