Tigers U14 Boys Rue missed chances against Belfast Star

U14 Boys vs Belfast Star
The Tigers took to court against Belfast Star looking to bounce back from the defeat against Queens, however it was Star who settled quicker into the game moving the ball well and 4 scoring a few baskets to open up a 10-6 lead at the end of the first period. Tigers changed all five players going into the second period, however Star dominated the period with the Tigers defence letting them in to easily and allowing Star to open up a 23-12 lead at the end of the second, leaving the Tigers with work to do. The Tigers responded in the 3rd with a fabulous display, limiting Star to just 6 points while scoring 17 themselves to bring it to a 4 point game 29-25. Going into the 4th, Star hit an early three and then scored six unanswered point to re-establish their lead, but the Tigers fought back to get within 4 point, but Star held their nerve and took the win 36-32. Tigers will look back on a number of missed opportunities from layups and free throws which they will look to improve on going into the next game.
