What a game, what a performance, what a result for the Div 1 Men as they maintained their unbeaten home record and recorded Towers first defeat of the season.
At the end of the a tight first period Towers hit a late 3 to end the period 15-10 ahead and were working the ball in well from both sides to score easy layups.
Tigers fought back during the second and with the game tied 30-30 with both teams on team fouls, Towers hit a late few points to lead 37-33 at half time.
Early in the third period Tigers fought back and the lead changing hands several times. With 6:21 left in the period Tower led 50-47. With both teams on team fouls with the score at 58-55, the Towers hit a late 3 pointer and led after the 3rd period 63-57.
Into the 4th period of this game, with 3:14 left on the clock the Tigers trailed by 2, 72:70. Up stepped Klaudijus to hit two back to back 3s for the Tigers to lead 76:74 with 1:32 left, both teams on team fouls again. An epic end to this encounter seen both teams miss from the free throw line. Towers would not give up, but Tigers took the lead 81:79 with 1.7 seconds on the clock to take the win.
